House of Cards is a creative project made for the Contra × Figma Hackathon, exploring how design and AI can preserve memory through digital craft.
Once, business cards carried more than information, they held texture, identity, and a sense of presence. Today, they’ve faded into digital replacements. This project brings that feeling back, not for function, but for remembrance.
Built entirely with Figma Make, House of Cards blends prompt-based design and creative direction to generate digital business cards inspired by tactile details. Each composition reflects the beauty of paper, color, and typography — transformed into an interactive memory.
House of Cards celebrates how technology and nostalgia can coexist, reminding us that even in digital form, design still carries emotion.
The goal was to reimagine the forgotten ritual of business cards using AI-driven design tools. We wanted to see how prompts, layout rules, and creative intuition could merge into something emotional and familiar.
The experience invites people to create their own digital card, not because they need one, but because it feels good to remember what design used to mean.

Through this project, we learned that AI can be both a tool and a muse. When guided by human memory and emotion, it becomes a medium for storytelling rather than automation.
By combining Figma Make’s generative process with nostalgic intent, the project reminded us that technology doesn’t erase tradition — it can reinterpret it. The outcome is a quiet reflection on how creativity, memory, and digital tools can coexist beautifully.
